BIO: Kyrie Irving was among the most anticipated players to enter the NBA in 2011. An Australian by birth, Irving moved to the U.S. at two years old, started playing ball young, and was soon in the spotlight. During his senior year of high school, Irving made the Junior National Select Team, played in the Jordan Brand Classic, and the McDonald’s All American game. Battling an ankle injury for much of his freshman season at Duke, he returned for the last game of the NCAA tourney and posted 28 points. Chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the #1 overall draft pick, Kyrie finished his rookie season averaging 17.5 points per game, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals.
